The Trap of Counterfeit Happiness Sometimes

We mistake temporary pleasure for true happiness. When we make poor choices or stay in bad situations, we often try to force ourselves to feel happy anyway. But you cannot find genuine happiness in an environment of self-deception. This is counterfeit happiness, and it is completely incompatible with joy.

Chasing counterfeit happiness strips your inner gears. True joy requires a Heart of Truth. It gives you the character and the courage to change your circumstances, align your gears, and choose a path that actually lifts you and the world around you.
